With the start of the new school year, we also said good-bye to an era…an era of scorching gym heat!
We are thrilled to announce that we were able to begin this new year by welcoming in our new air-conditioning system for our school gym! And, if you’ve ever been to our sporting events or awards ceremonies, you know this is a HUGE deal!!
Now, although we are already enjoying the benefits from these new units as they keep our gym at a lovely 75*, there is still work to be done! As you can see below, we are still over $35,000 away from meeting our goal to pay for the new air conditioning system.
Thanks to of one of our school board members, Mr. Ernest Matthews, who was willing to finance the project for us, we are able to enjoy it much earlier than expected. But we need your help! We need to raise this thermometer by raising funds for the repayment of the air conditioning.
Now, how can you help?! I’m so glad you asked! We currently have TWO great opportunities for you to help us raise money for our AC:
Make a monetary donation towards the air conditioning system. This can be done by mail, at the school office, or online (www.cornerstonemin.com) at any time. Any and all donations are needed and appreciated for us to be able to repay and use this new air conditioning system as we’d all love to!
Help us find new sponsorships for our school! As you have seen, we have many sponsorship signs/banners in the school gym. These are annual sponsorships with costs starting at only $150! If you own a business or know of local businesses that may be interested in becoming a sponsor for our school, please contact the school office for more information.
BRONZE: ($150-$449) have your company sign on display in our gym for all to see at all of our events both during and after school, including many sporting events.
SILVER: ($450-$749) have your company sign on display in our gym for all to see at all of our events both during and after school, including many sporting events. You will also receive call-outs at home sporting events and a certificate of recognition.
GOLD: ($750+) have your company sign on display in our gym for all to see at all of our events both during and after school, including many sporting events. You will also receive call-outs at home sporting events and a custom recognition plaque.
So, as you walk into our gym the next time, whether to watch volleyball with our Lady Cougars…to attend our Grandparents’ Day program…to see our many basketball teams/events…and more, take time to notice the comfort this new air conditioning system brings, and then decide what part you can play in helping us to raise money to cover the cost!
