Brooks and his wife Christie have been married for 23 years and have 1 daughter. They attend Oak Grove First Congregational Methodist Church where he serves as a deacon. He is also a production manager at Ascend Performance Materials here in Decatur. His wife has taught middle school for 27 years.

Emily and her husband, Will, married in 2015. They have two children, Rachel (4) and Robert (1 1/2). Emily has been a hair stylist at Silkroad Salon for over 8 years. Their family has faithfully been in the ministry since 2015 with her husband serving eight years with Lindsay Lane Baptist Church as worship pastor. Their family have recently transitioned to Decatur Baptist Church where Will serves as worship pastor.

Emily began her career with ALFA Insurance in 2006 as a customer sales representative in Hartselle, AL. In 2010 she was hired into the claims department. She has since earned her Associate In Claims designation and was promoted to Senior Claims Adjuster.

Emily has been married for 14 years and has 3 children. Her oldest children have attended CCS since kindergarten and her youngest will start kindergarten here in the fall of 2024.

Melanie McSherry Bishop
Manager of Business Enablement – United Healthcare – Columbus, MS

Melanie began her career as a program manager for Volunteers of America in Hartselle, Al. She ran group homes for special needs adult men until her family relocated to Columbus, MS.
She then ran psychosocial rehabilitation centers for Community Counseling Services in both Ackerman and West Point, MS.
She made the transition to United Healthcare when her daughter was in elementary school for the opportunity to work from home. She first managed physician contracting, then hospital contracting and now manages National business processes.
She has been married for 19 years and her daughter plans to attend Ole Miss in the Fall.
